In 2012, the founder of War Metal Forge, Justin Clapsaddle, began his journey as a knife maker. What started as a hobby soon evolved into a deep passion and second vocation. Mentored by Mike Wilson, who once said, “Once you make one knife…be ready to make a thousand more,” he embraced the craft wholeheartedly. Over the years, he has specialized in creating traditional hunting and tactical knives inspired by the weapons he used as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division. His latest line, War Metal Knives, incorporates metal sourced from vehicles, shrapnel, and rifle barrels that saw combat from the Battle of the Bulge to Afghanistan. Each piece produced by War Metal Forge is more than a functional tool. It is a timeless, historical heirloom that carries deep meaning for both the maker and the service men and women whose stories it honors.
