FAQ

Warrior Rising has multiple online programs to guide veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs from idea to growth. Individuals may begin with Warrior Academy or SDVET LaunchPoint to build core business knowledge and move forward from ideation, then can participate in additional training like Warrior University for deeper development.

As participants progress, those who demonstrate strong potential may be selected for advanced opportunities such as Business Showers (pitch competitions), which provide targeted support and possible undiluted grant funding based on merit and readiness.

Start by enrolling in Warrior Academy, regardless of your business stage. It provides foundational training, mindset guidance, and access to all Warrior Rising resources and opportunities. Updates and new offerings are shared regularly through email.

Yes, participants can attend Warrior University up to two times, depending on availability. This allows individuals to strengthen or expand their entrepreneurial skills.

Who can participate in Warrior Rising programs?
Our programs are open to veterans, military spouses, and immediate family members who are ready to take their business ideas to the next level.

A Business Shower is a competitive, invite-only opportunity where selected businesses may receive grants and incredible networking opportunities. Participants are chosen based on traction, growth potential, and a strong business model from a highly competitive applicant pool. The process helps entrepreneurs refine their ability to communicate value and strengthen their business ideas.

Funding is not guaranteed and is only awarded to select participants through Business Showers. Warrior Rising does not provide ongoing or emergency funding outside of this program.

At this time, we do not assign individual mentors. Warrior Rising supports participants through monthly coaching calls, masterclasses, and other resources designed to address early-stage business needs.

We recommend checking out American Corporate Partners (https://acpvillage.org/) for individual mentorship.

All participants still have access to Office Hours Live, masterclasses, webinars, and a media hub with educational materials. These resources provide ongoing guidance, expert insights, and technical knowledge to support business growth.

Strong candidates typically show business traction, clear growth potential, and a well-defined value proposition. Engagement in virtual programs is important, and allows for networking opportunities amongst other veteran and military spouse entrepreneurs. Being open to feedback and willing to adapt is also critical for success in mentoring and program opportunities.
